Contemporary Cambodian artist Leang Seckon has been making waves in the Asian art scene thanks to his incredibly intricate and densely collaged paintings that draw from his memories of witnessing famine and genocide as a child. Employing traditional Cambodian iconography and symbols, the resulting works are a rich tapestry of Seckon’s experiences and Cambodia’s past and present.
