One of the members of the Fifth Moon group, who were pioneers of Taiwanese contemporary art, Hu Chi-Chung's method of incorporating American abstract expressionism into traditional Chinese ink paintings has helped changed the face of Taiwanese art. This exhibition is extra poignant as it is the first showcase of Hu’s work since he passed away in 2012. On display are Hu’s abstract landscape paintings created from the late 1950s to the 1980s, as well as never-before-seen artworks.
