This October, Design District Hong Kong (#ddHK) is launching its latest initiative, 'transFORM', beginning with Heart of Cyberpunk in Sham Shui Po. This immersive fashion experience sees local creatives and recognised international experts come together to transform Sham Shui Po into a futuristic world.
Heart of Cyberpunk will be bringing nine days of exciting activities, with the main focus being a multi-sensory fashion experience, where 10 local fashion and accessories designers will exhibit their extraordinary work based on their interpretation of 'Cyberpunk'. From October 17-25, there will also be numerous Heart of Cyberpunk events, including exhibitions, cybermarket, workshops, talks, mural art, guided tours, and more.
#ddHK envisions Sham Shui Po as an open-air design district gallery, in hopes of showcasing the local community and the distinct charm of Hong Kong. The entire Tung Chau Street Temporary Market will be transformed into a surreal sci-fi film set, with 10 local businesses playing host to imaginative installations. Setting the scene, the space is turned into a spaceship headquarters that has abruptly landed in the middle of the city.
