As any good second-hand bookshop ought to, Voltaire and Rousseau has a charmingly messy look to it. Stock covers almost every subject imaginable, with some books long since out of print.

While the level of disorganisation seems epic to the untrained eye, there’s a semblance of order to it, with books arranged roughly by subject. Staff seem to know roughly what should be in the stacks, even if they can’t necessarily always locate it for you.
