On the Clyde at Finnieston – where you find the Clyde Auditorium and the Hydro – this is a great place to stay for two main reasons. It's no distance at all from the venues just mentioned and if you have a south-facing room the view takes in the ever-flowing river. Actually, it's a pretty good hotel all round and the Finnieston Crane and Clyde Arc bridge add further visual distinction to the locale. If you walk up to reception and ask for a room 'for tonight' however it's far from budget but as with many hotels these days there are decent rates to be found by booking well in advance.
