La Galera

La Galera is one of those authentic restaurants that everybody loves to go to from time to time. There isn't a menu, and instead each day the waiting staff will tell customers what's available, based on what fish is good in the market. Since Fermin opened this place in Palamós many moons ago, they've always served fresh fish either grilled or fried. Mussels, cuttlefish, baby octopus, anchovies, squid, prawns, crayfish, scorpion fish, John Dory, hake, sole - doubtless you'll be able to find your favourite from among this list of species! The presentation is simple but sometimes, and especially when the basic product itself is of a high quality, it's better to cut to the chase and forget about all the unnecessary paraphernalia on the plate.
