El Teatret

El Teatret in La Bisbal, on the thoroughfare that follows the river Daró, many years ago was a local entertainment venue where dances and other shows were held. For some time now, the focus has moved to the kitchen, now that the place has been converted into a restaurant. They use seasonal products and you can try game such as hare or partridge, as well as truffles, artichokes and excellent Catalan-style peas. They base their dishes on traditional recipes but making adaptations so as to bring them up to date. We recommend the lunchtime set menu, but if you happen to be in La Bisbal at night, avoid the menu and let the staff make suggestions.
