Pure Tex-Mex – for years in Girona, Escondido has been serving the most typical dishes from this fusion of Texan and Mexican cooking. Yes, they've got nachos and in lots of different variations, such as with cheddar and blue cheese, with meat and mixed vegetables ('pico de gallo'), mixed veg and jalapeño peppers, which is the spicy version, and the classics, with guacamole. And the tacos, burritos and quesadillas with various meats and other accompaniments are not to be missed. Be careful, because different dishes have different levels of spiciness! The most Texan elements are the chicken wings and fingers with the typical barbecue sauce or a super-spicy one, if you prefer, as well as pork ribs that also come with barbecue sauce. And to drink, Aztec coffee, imported beers, tequilas and mescals.
