The empire of negronis, mojitos, gin and tonics, and beers has its Girona HQ in Plaça de la Independència: the Imperial Café & Lounge. And it's not only a great spot at night, because during the day it's an excellent café thanks to its terrace with views of some of the most active parts of the old town. On Thursdays, the crowd is mainly made up of university students, and you'll find low-cost drinks, big cocktails, and rows of shots of all colours and flavours available.
