Some people remember this place for the nights spent there playing the traditional drinking game, 'jugar al duro'. Others, because it's one of Girona's iconic night spots that's survived the passing of time by continually re-establishing itself among the city's top bars. And it's true that, as in any real museum dedicated to rustic decor, the walls of this place in the heart of Girona guard numerous secret stories (and some others that can be told) accumulated over the years. There's little left of the former Can Garganta inn or the barbershop that both once stood here. Today the painted tiles, the dark wood furniture and the house wine served in ceramic jugs are just some of the symbols of authenticity in this traditional tapas bar, where you can also sit down (either outside on the terrace or inside) and try Catalan dishes from the menu.
