Sunday morning, you've put on your trainers and shorts, your iPod shuffle is loaded and ready to go, and your Fitbit bracelet is on your wrist. You're all set to do a lap of Banyoles lake in the company of hundreds of runners. Once finished, do yourself a favour and join in with the preferred weekend sport of the majority of us mere mortals: a Sunday pre-lunch vermouth ('vermuteig'). There's no better place to practise it in Banyoles than at Aquarium, located just in front of the lake itself. Settle down into the wicker seats inside, or get some sun on the terrace, turn off your mobile and appreciate the great views (with fishing boats and rowers included) while you have a drink. Whatever else happens, you'll feel very, very lucky.
