With a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it entrance on the High Street, this is a recent addition (2014) to the Old Town with a cellar bar featuring whisky and craft beers, a simply decorated upstairs restaurant specialising in game. There are fish and vegetarian options but the dedicated experience could see a starter like pigeon carpaccio with horseradish remoulade and beetroot purée – a main like roast grouse with game and barley broth, and sausage made of grouse leg.
