A small, basement venue with bare stone and much art, this venue is tasteful, well-established and pulls off Franco-Scottish cooking with a contemporary twist. This could bring herb-crusted cod with warm potato salad and white wine tartar sauce as a starter; roast grouse with bacon, bread sauce, game chips and watercress as a main. You pay for this kind of quality but there is a set two course menu, Tuesday to Friday, £20.95.
