Opposite the Edinburgh Playhouse, the Shezan has been going for more than thirty years, dishing up a traditional curry house menu in big, bustling premises that were freshened up considerably in 2011. People come to grab a bite before a show (three courses pre-theatre £14.95), for celebrations or for old Indian-style favourites. It’s still possible to have a starter, main and rice here in the evening for under £20.00.
