This friendly bistro has been around for over a decade, during which time it’s built up a loyal following. Modern décor and a decent buzz make it an obvious pit-stop for local professionals and hungry neighbours, keen to indulge the tasty à la carte or very reasonable lunch or early evening menus.
Fish features on the menu, but by no means dominates it. There are some tasty meat options too, plus some surprisingly original dishes for vegetarians. It’s largely a Scottish affair, with much emphasis on sustainable, local produce. But there are Asian, Turkish and Italian flavours too, with dishes covering everything from Thai fishcakes to lamb kebabs. The menu is prone to changing and there are nightly specials, plus regular ‘Regional Nights’, where everything from Thai to Bavarian food is celebrated on the menu. A small but decent wine list and attentive, friendly service add additional charm.
