Greenhouse’s Finnish-born celeb chef clearly draws on his Scandinavian roots when designing the renowned restaurant’s seasonal, produce-forward menu. The airy foie gras parfait with Granny smith apples and smoked eel is a standout, but every bite from the artisan bread basket to the petit fours is served to be savoured. At dinner, you won’t be pressed to find a family celebrating a birthday or a couple celebrating their anniversary. Three- and four-course menus run €80 and €90 respectively, while the six-course tasting menu will set you back €115. Come for lunch to try the five-course “surprise” version at a heavily discounted €75. In fact, Greenhouse is often hailed as the city’s best lunch spot, explaining the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) members, suits, and lunch ladies in attendance. Plush turquoise banquettes, dark wood floors, soft white tablecloths, and tabletop orchids evoke the appropriate level of luxury.
Time Out tip: Keep your eyes peeled. You never know when you could see a celeb.
