The Detroit Historical Museum is home to a number of bite-size permanent exhibitions showcasing the city’s rich 300-year history, including America’s Motor City and Streets of Old Detroit. But it’s the ever-revolving temporary exhibits that keep the locals coming back to this quaint Midtown institution, particularly those focusing on the city’s rich artistic heritage, often unjustly left for dust by its automotive accomplishments.
