Workplace Transgender 101 Lunch & Learn (Dallas)

2015 is shaping up to be the year that transgender issues go mainstream. It's the next frontier for Diversity & Inclusion, and we're here to help! Texas Competes is hosting a free lunch & learn for Diversity & Inclusion professionals on transgender issues and opportunities in the workplace. This session will equip corporate D&I leaders and other executives with: "Trans 101" basics An understanding of what inclusive transgender workplace policies look like Clarity on how to train and talk to transgender employees, as well as to business leaders and staff Hot topics such as name and pronoun changes, access to gender-segregated spaces, and alleviating co-worker concerns The session will be led by Lou Weaver, a leader in Texas' LGBT community and a dynamic trainer on transgender topics. Lou is a topic specialist for Texas-based Fortune 500 companies and regularly educates healthcare providers and medical students on culturally competent care.
