The Red Tent Of Divine Sight

Time Out says

On March 8th, many of the women across the DFW metroplex will be gathering at Divine Sight Healing Arts Center with the intention of honoring the Red Tent Temple Movement. This will be the first of many monthly meetings. This movement dates backs centuries and could be viewed as a collective culmination of countless traditions practiced by civilizations throughout time. The Red Tent Movement isn't particular to one spiritual practice, though many women revere the wonderful book The Red Tent, authored by Anita Diamant, which is based in biblical times. In a Red Tent, all spirituality is valued and every faith has a place to be expressed. During our first gathering, there will be very little set structure as we relax together and openly discuss everyone's vision for the Red Tent of Divine Sight . TOGETHER, we'll be co-creating what it is that we're hungry for as a community of women. Everyone's vision will be honored, as we start to set in place the strong foundation of our tent. We are the co-creators of this masterpiece! In honoring the Red Tent Temple Movement, we will embellish Divine Sight with elaborate and elegant décor in every shade of RED. If you have anything red to offer, please, feel free to bring it - the more the better! As our tent grows, it's very important that everyone begins to collect and share RED items. We'll be discussing topics such as: * The history of The Red Tent Movement * How we would like to form the structure of our Red Tent * Ancient civilizations which honored a woman's time of bleeding and birthing * How the current societal model may affect the way in which we view menstruation If you have any additional topics to discuss, regarding our Red Tent, they will be honored. This is a completely open forum for women's expression - bring your vision! <3 "Raise Up a Red Tent Temple. Raise Up a Woman. Together we are building with our collaborative support a woman-honoring culture for our daughters, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, selves in every village, city and town." ~ALisa Starkweather, founder of the Red Tent Movement "JOIN US IN THIS GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT AMONG WOMEN THAT BUILDS SUPPORT FOR WOMEN LOCALLY IN THESE IMPORTANT TIMES. Honor your life as a woman, your bleeding cycles, your need to gather, our need to be in time that is not structured to see what can be created when we slow down and give ourselves time to connect and collaborate." -Red Tent Temple Movement ~ Infinite gratitude to Tina Reeves Dismukes for fueling the vision of bringing a Red Tent to Divine Sight!! Tina will be joining us for our first meeting, as we establish our foundation and set goals. She'll be traveling from Houston and is providing much of the red fabrics needed for our first circle. Thank you so much, Tina! <3 <3 <3
