Samkhya: The One Cosmology that exists in every Cell
Dosha: The Three Primary Energies; their natural homes, the organs and tissues they rule
Sub-Dosha: The Five Intelligences of each Primary Energy; The domain each governs; signs of deficiency and excess
Dhatu: The Seven Vital Tissues which anchor mind and spirit; Their physical and emotional function; signs of vitality and depletion
Srotamsi: Channels for nutrients, wastes, thought, ideas, emotion and wisdom
Marma & Nadi: The 107 Vital Points and the 72,000 Channels of Prana
The goal is to cultivate a vivid awareness of the utmost state of health and vitality.
Pre-Requisite; Students will be required to have taken one of Kathleen’s previous 6 Wk Courses or have basic Ayurvedic knowledge before taking this series.
Kathleen Lohr became enchanted with Ayurveda nearly thirty years ago when a fellow herbalist returned from Nepal and described the exotic form of healthcare practiced there. Kathleen became licensed in massage in order to prepare for a scholarship in the Sri Sri Ayurveda Six-Month Residential Internship at Arte de Vivre in Quebec, Canada. During this excellent and intensive program, she perfected the Ayurvedic Bodywork treatments, Marma Chikitsa and Pancha Karma techniques that form the basis of her work.
