Stay somewhere with a historical claim to fame: The Statler is a member of Historical Hotels of America. When it first opened in 1956, it was home to the largest convention facility in the South and also the first-ever building to feature elevator music. Today, the Statler still puts on events in its Grand Ballroom; visitors for conventions or events will also enjoy the fourth-floor pool and rooftop bar, Waterproof.
