At the back of Jelsa old town and up a leafy (and nameless) incline, keep an eye out for Turan, the restaurant’s new name, and Dominko, its former name and that of the company that owns it. The venue is one and the same. It is worth exploring for the friendly staff and the fabulous terrace for summer dining. Host Martin prides himself on peka specialities, producing succulent meats and lobster from under the traditional coal-covered bell-shaped metal lid – and his flambé desserts.
