Just off the main road to Buje, this village-based family business is an ideal place to tuck in to the inland Istrian repertoire of home-made pastas, meats (including goat) baked under a hot metal lid, and goulash made from boškarin, the local horned cattle. The modern dining rooms are hung with rustic implements and old musical instruments – the owners’ next-door farm completes the picture of rustic plenty. The wine list runs from unpretentious house white to the best of local small-winery production – whatever you order, it will be more than palatable.
