Close to the sea and a short walk from the bustle of Vis town, Kod Paveta harks back to the pastoral, pre-mass tourism days of Vis island. Opened in 2005, Kod Paveta features much of the own-grown produce that has been grown on the family farm for generations. The vegetables in your soup or embellishing your black-tail bream have all been pulled out of the ground nearby – though it might be best to opt for the house speciality of traditional Dalmatian pašticada, baby beef leg in prosecco, prune jam and rosemary gravy, with own-made gnocchi.
