Open all year round, this intimate, traditional konoba near the main square does nothing revolutionary but what it does do – lamb shashliks, grilled squids, more fish choice than most – it does well. Certainly, the kitchen seems to know how much garlic and oil to add where necessary. There are a couple of children's choices on the menu, plus enticing desserts such as pear in red wine, and hot bananas. Starters include Croatian cheeses and lesser-found offerings such as lobster carpaccio.
