Thousands travelled from around the world to Zagreb on Sunday to compete in and view the city's 30th annual marathon. Viva Kovač is the second Croatian woman in a row to win the race after years of the event being dominated by foreign runners.
In the men’s category, Rwandan Jean Baptiste Simukeka came in first, finishing in a blistering two hours, 19 minutes and seven seconds. 528 runners completed the course this year, which stretched from Franje Tuđmana park to Maksimir. Full results can be found on the Zagreb Marathon website.
