A significant new exhibition at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Zagreb explores the history of Croatian women in manufacturing, aviation, firefighting and much more. Speaking with Time Out Croatia, its curator explained that the exhibition is meant to show how "women have contributed to the development of technology, and how technology has changed the lives of women".
The museum's huge collection of mechanical and scientific equipment has been augmented with new documentation, information and photographs.

This collection of more than 10,000 items includes fighter planes, locomotives, fire engines, model spaceships, analogue computers, a 350-metre-long model mine and a submarine, to name but a few. Running until the end of March, the women and technology exhibition contextualises these objects with the lives of the women who created and used them.
An essential visit for anyone interested in history, science or technology, the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum is close to Zagreb's city centre, with its own tram stop, Tehnički muzej, on lines 3, 9 and 12.
Address Savska cesta 18. Open Tue-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat-Sun 9am-1pm. Admission €4 in person or from the museum website.
