Winter Festival opens in Dubrovnik

The Old Town lights up as the city celebrates with live music shows, free walking tours and Santas on motorcycles

Marching majorettes, live music and the mayor himself opened this season’s festivities in Dubrovnik. Running until January 6, the Dubrovnik Winter Festival offers five weeks of family-friendly fun and entertainment, with live shows on the main street of Stradun, free themed tours on Saturday mornings, a Christmas charity flea market, workshops, exhibitions, Santas on motorcycles and music in the Lazareti complex.

Highlights include the concerts on Stradun by star guests, Eurovision’s Baby Lasagna on December 21 and Italian favourite Zucchero on New Year’s Eve, and cult Croatian band Pips, Chips & Videoclips at Lazareti on December 20.

The flea market takes place on the main square of Luža this Saturday, December 7, from 10am.
