As part of the annual Okolo art project we previewed recently, a mural by renowned street artist Lonac has appeared on a firewall of the Agency04 building at ulica Vjekoslava Klaića 37.
Phlegmatic depicts a portrait of a young person at the end of adolescence, illustrating a certain period in life that we all have to go through. The mural in pastel tones emphasises the contrast of light and shadow and, in collaboration with partners Up Rent and JUB Hrvatska, it covers the full height of a three-storey building.
Working with the Zagreb Tourist Board, the annual Okolo (‘Around’) initiative interprets contemporary themes through unique creations conceived for this very project, many of them site-specific. This year’s event began on August 20.
By weaving works of art into the cityscape, Okolo aims to change the interface of Croatia’s capital and encourage everyone to take a different walk through Zagreb each time, locals and tourists.
