Weather reporters weren't being hysterical when they warned of the 'coldest week of winter' yet. Temperatures continue to plummet to minus zero temperatures across the country: -5C in Rijeka, -10C in Zagreb and nearing a painful -20C in Gorski Kotar. The arctic front has, of course, brought with it a blanket of snow, turning inland Croatia into a fairytale scene. Surprisingly, the snow has made its way down to the Dalmatian coast, peppering Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik. The snow has even reached Croatia's most distant island, Lastovo.
