Dubrovnik’s first celeb event of the summer brought rock star Rod Stewart to the city’s Hotel Excelsior. The 79-year-old singer was in Croatia to celebrate the wedding of his son, Liam, 29, who was marrying his teenage sweetheart, Nicole Artukovich.
The pair first met at a high school party in California when they were both 16. Liam Stewart then went on to play professional ice hockey in Washington and Alaska but kept in touch with Nicole.
Their wedding has come a year after the birth of their first child, Louie, whose middle name is Roderick, after his famous grandfather. The couple held their wedding reception on the Palm Tree Terrace of the Hotel Excelsior, and were married at the Church of St Ignatius, tucked in behind the sea-facing cliffs of Dubrovnik’s Old Town.
The wedding party was held on Fort Lovrijenac.
