With fairer weather and warmer temperatures arriving, Croatia's capital springs to life, and this Sunday, April 2, Zagreb's historic main thoroughfare stages a huge street fair. One of the most unique and lively events in the city, Project Ilica will transform the section between Frankopanska and Franje Tuđman Park, closing it off to cars and trams from 9am to 4pm.

During this time, this pedestrianised stretch will be filled with dozens of vendors, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The Faculty of Fine Arts at Ilica 84 will open its studios and host an exhibition of students' work. Top local musicians and bands perform live, fashion-design classes will be held by professors from the city's university, and the fire brigade lays on workshops for kids.
