Croatia will soon be welcoming its first fully automated hotel, not in Zagreb or Dubrovnik but in Osijek. Set beside the former Avenue Mall, HOP IN will feature 47 rooms, two apartments, a conference hall, a pool and saunas. It is due to open in 2025.

The Slavonian capital is also the home of Cras, a company dedicated to automated and green-friendly solutions for institutions around the region and beyond, including the MONO IT park in Osijek and an educational centre in nearby Tikveš.

The HOP IN should appeal to business travellers and sport-focused tourists, with everything taken care of from the guest’s mobile. Twenty people will also be employed in the complex. It is hoped that the EU will provide co-financing.
