Nonstop flights between New York and Dubrovnik begin this week

United Airlines' first direct flight from New York to Dubrovnik will take off on Thursday, July 1. Delta Air Lines will follow suit a day later, on Friday, July 2.

United's departures are scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from New York and on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Dubrovnik. They'll be timed to connect travellers arriving from Croatia in Newark with over 65 North American cities. On flights to Dubrovnik, United will fly a B767-300 aircraft with a capacity of 30 seats in business class, 49 in premium economy class and 135 in economy class.

Delta Air Lines will operate four times a week between John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and Dubrovnik. A Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 226 seats will fly to Croatia. Delta's flights are planned to land in Dubrovnik on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through July, August and September.
