The big summer exhibition at Lauba, the major centre for contemporary art in Zagreb, has just been unveiled with a talk involving the leader of alternative band Laibach, Ivan Novak. The Slovenian musician has collaborated with George Chetwode of art collective A/Political to create Ausstelling! Laibach Kunst Unternehmen Barbarossa + Assimilator, which runs at Lauba until August 20.

The project extends Laibach’s provocative oeuvre across many art forms that has now run for over 40 years and includes Chetwode’s Unternehmen Barbarossa that lends the exhibition its name.

Laibach are still very much active musically, too, most recently providing the soundtrack for the Finnish-German sci-fi film Iron Sky: The Coming Race.

Ausstelling! Laibach Kunst Unternehmen Barbarossa + Assimilator, Lauba, prilaz Baruna Filipovica 23A. Open until Aug 20, daily 4pm-10pm.
