This week, chef Ana Roš of Michelin-starred Slovenian restaurant Hiša Franko will be teaming up with her acclaimed counterpart Hrvoje Kroflin at Zagreb’s Man02 for a stellar dining showcase on Thursday, April 7. This will be Ana’s second visit to the elegant contemporary eatery on Radnička cesta. The first sold out in an hour and tables for Thursday’s event were also reserved in record time.
Awarded two Michelin stars in 2020, Hiša Franko is set in Slovenia’s lush Soča Valley at Kobarid, close to the border with Italy. There Ana and Valter rely on local trout fishers, beekeepers and dairy farmers for produce. The name, ‘Franko’s House’, refers to Valter’s father who served fine food there 50 years ago. Their establishment is currently listed at number 21 of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Man02 chef Hrvoje Kroflin was recently named among the Top 100 among the annual Best Chef Awards.
