A waterpark costing 6 million euros - a figure that surely guarantees every permutation of slide imaginable - is to open near Zagreb, in Sveti Ivan Zelina. The new design updates the pools which were on the site previously, and is ‘eagerly awaited,’ according to Mayor Hrvoje Košćec.
Aquapark Zelina will have eight slides of varying sizes as well as plenty of swimming pools, sun loungers, a gym and spa facilities.
The design comes from the Spanish company Action Waterscapes, who knows a thing or two about dunking people into the water at high speeds.
While building permits are still being sorted, there is no set date for the completion of the park. Check out the official website for updates.
