Three major Croatian hotel chains, Valamar, Maistra and Arena, all performed beyond expectations in terms of sales revenue for 2022.

In figures just released, Valamar made 2.4 billion Croatian kuna over the course of last year, a jump of 50% when compared with 2021. Maistra made 1.5 billion kuna, an increase of 34% while Arena oversaw a year-on-year rise of 80% for an overall revenue of 0.8 billion kuna.

Interestingly, all these hotel groups are based in Istria. As recently reported, the region recorded the most overnight stays overall in 2022 when compared with elsewhere in Croatia.
