Just celebrating its 18th anniversary, the Zagreb Surf Club Tri strjele offers expert tuition in windsurfing and SUP at Lake Jarun where the organisation is based. Five sporting young locals founded ‘The Three Arrows’ to practise the kind of sporting activity usually associated with the Adriatic coast.
As the head of Tri strjele Marko Murgić explains, “Our club is open all summer. It is best to register for the courses a little earlier so that there are no crowds and in order to prepare all the equipment”.
Marko has spent several winters surfing on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, but his favourite destination was Morocco. “The basics of windsurfing can be learned in three visits of a few hours each. To move to a higher level, you need to set aside a week or two and go to the sea.”
