The International Late Summer Music Festival Dubrovnik marks its tenth anniversary with a series of top-quality performances at the city’s historic Rector’s Palace.
Opening on August 26 and closing on September 14, each time with concerts by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the series features symphony and chamber concerts, recitals, premieres and collaborations with famed soloists and conductors.
Soon to celebrate their own centenary, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be playing pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn, but look out for a special evening on Thursday, August 31 when the DSO put the focus on local composers such as Luka Sorkočević from the 1700s and the Lapad Sonnets.
