Just opened beside Lake Jarun in Zagreb, the third annual Food Truck Festival is expected to attract some 25,000 visitors for an alfresco gastro and cultural bash running until June 12.
Free live-music shows will be staged most weekends, including a performance by Zagreb singer Nika Turković on Friday, May 27.
As well as classic street food – burgers and other grilled favourites, fish and ethnic specialities – craft beer, artisanal ice cream and summer cocktails will be on offer. A flea market for fashionable clothes, activities for kids and a selfie corner set up by a retro bus are among the other attractions.
The festival runs weekdays 4pm-1am and weekends 11am-2am. Admission is free. To reach Jarun, take tram 5 from Zagreb bus station or tram 17 from the main square, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića.
