Low-cost UAE airline FlyDubai has just announced direct flights between the Gulf and Dubrovnik from June, to complement the service to the Croatian capital already in place.
Although FlyDubai is not part of the Emirates group, it does have a codeshare agreement with the major long-haul carrier, meaning that Croatia could also benefit from passengers being able to fly in from other parts of Asia or Australasia and change relatively smoothly onto a FlyDubai plane.
The budget Zagreb service will be upped from four to five times a week from the end of June, while the seasonal Dubrovnik route will operate three times a week until mid-September.
