The Tourist Board of Hvar explains:
"The Hvar Summer Festival has been held continuously since 1961, and in the jubilee 60th edition, in addition to renowned musical names at Hvar’s historical locations, it also brings a rich theatrical program.
The popular 'Hvar Summer' is one of the oldest summer festivals on the Adriatic coast and islands. Special attention is paid to the preservation of Hvar and Croatian heritage, while an important part of the programme consists of performances by Dalmatian klapas and UNESCO-protected and promoted klapa singing."
The festival has been on since June - but the homestretch of the programme is just as good as the start! Here's what you can still see at Hvar Summer Festival.
