It's been ten years since Croatia joined the EU in July 2013, and the country adopted the euro and joined the Schengen Zone this January. To mark a decade of membership, more than a dozen award-winning Croatian and European films are being shown across Zagreb this month.

The schedule includes the Croatian family drama Safe Place, acclaimed at the Zagreb Film Festival, the first feature-length Croatian computer-animated film The Cricket and The Ant, and the German-Swiss co-production Loving Patricia Highsmith about the famous psychological thriller writer.

The festival runs until July 29 at summer amphitheater of the Kino Tuškanac, Cinema Metropolis at the MSU in Novi Zagreb, KC Dubrava and NS Sesvete.

Films are shown with Croatian and English subtitles. Admission to all screenings is free.
