Croatia has been making waves in the area of global tourism it has long been seeking to influence. Among the record number of participants at the recent International Luxury Travel Market in Cannes, high-end hotels from Istria, Dubrovnik, Zagreb and Split showcased their attractions to the world’s most discerning – and demanding – visitors.

As illustrated by the recent inaugural Croatia Yacht Show in Zadar, not to mention the country’s ten restaurants with Michelin stars and plethora of celebrities who choose the Dalmatian coast over Italy, France or Spain, Croatia has already joined the top table where five-star European travel is concerned.

Now the key is to encourage these high-spending guests to spread the word and return.

The Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian National Tourist Board co-organised the four-day event on the French Riviera, the ideal platform for Croatian enterprises to network and present the unique natural beauty which is the country’s calling card.
