National carrier Croatia Airlines has announced its winter schedule, and the good news is that it will be reintroducing Mostar to its roster this winter, connecting the hub of Herzegovina with Zagreb. The service will run three times a week from the end of October to the end of March.
In total, the flag carrier will be operating 23 international routes from Croatia’s seven airports, connecting with 13 destinations abroad.
Mostar, where the airline flew before the pandemic, is a fascinating destination set by the Neretva river, whose green waters reflect the city’s iconic Old Bridge.
Further reminders from the Ottoman era include mosques and other authentic landmarks, the city’s bazaar of cobbled streets and traditional workshops, and a coffee-drinking culture prevalent around the Balkans.
