Montreal-born synthpop duo Desire make their first Croatian appearance tonight, December 11, at one of Zagreb’s best alternative venues Močvara. They’re most famous for their smash-hit song Under Your Spell, known from the 2011 Ryan Gosling feature film Drive, though it has been used far and wide since bursting onto the musical radar.

The song was on their first album – a self-titled record released in 2009 – but it would be a long wait until 2022 before the group issued their second studio album Escape. Now on tour promoting their third LP, Games People Play (which dropped in early September of this year), their first ever Croatian show is sandwiched between dates in Vienna and Milan.

Warming things up will be the US act Orion, whose music is described as cyberdisco noir, inspired in part by Sci-Fi dystopian fantasy films and comic strips. Her music has been used in two Netflix shows – Elite and Maestro – as well as a number of popular video games.

Doors open at 8pm, with Orion getting things going from 8.30pm before Desire take the stage at 9.15pm. Tickets are still available here and on the door for €26.

Where: Klub Močvara, Trnjanska struga 34
When: December 11, 8pm
