Best Cornwall Airbnbs

1. The booming ‘50s bus in Washaway

Get out of your comfort zone with a stay in this unique Airbnb in Washaway. If you like to think of yourself as quite the adventurer, Betty, a recently converted 1953 Bedford R bus, is up for grabs. Considered a labour of love by host Hannah, Betty is nestled in the back end of the paddock, complete with her own orchard and barbecue space. Equipped with all you could need for (relatively) wild camping, Betty will make sure you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. Just bring your wellies if you’re planning to get some long walks in.

What’s the budget range? Decent for a three-night minimum stay.
Location perks? The accommodation is set on a two acre paddock with plenty of space for dogs to roam, plus outdoor children's toys, a trampoline and BBQ area. Washaway as a whole is extremely remote and rural – ideal if you're really looking to get away from it all.
Rooms: 1 bed, 1 bath. Sleeps 2.

2. The luxe studio in St Ives

This St Ives Airbnb is breathtaking from start to finish. After an 18-month renovation, this former sea captain’s and artist’s home is ready to be shared with the world. The balcony studio offers 180º degrees of sea and harbour views from the luxurious four-poster bed. Other unique features include a wetsuit drying room, a large four-person spa bath (if required) and materials such as tin used to pay homage to the North Cornish mining heritage. The kitchen comes fully equipped with state-of-the-art SMEG appliances and an underground stone wine cellar.

What’s the budget range? On the higher end for a three-night minimum stay, but so worth it for the bathtub and the proximity to the harbour.
Location perks? Known for its art scene and surf-friendly beaches, St Ives is one of the best places to stay in Cornwall. The harbour views from the bed is arguably the key selling point of this property.
Rooms: 1 bed, 1.5 baths. Sleeps 2.

3. The romantic treehouse in Penzance

While Cornwall is often thought of as coastal county, many greener areas are well worth exploring. Once an artist’s studio, this treehouse Airbnb in Penzance is a prime example. Designed with two in mind and a surrounding wooden deck overlooking the forest, Country Treehouse is a unique but peaceful stay in the Cornish countryside. Extras include floor-to-ceiling windows, an open-plan living space with a fully equipped kitchen and an ensuite bedroom with a skylight upstairs. Romance is the order of the day here, that’s for sure.

What’s the budget range? A hefty one, but worth it for the remoteness and the views.
Location perks?
In a beautiful valley secluded enough to feel like your own undisturbed slice of paradise, but still only a 10-minute walk to Penzance – a well-connected town with world-class beaches and showstopping attractions.
Rooms: 1 bed, 1 bath. Sleeps 2.

4. The earthy home in St Maybn

Toddalong Roundhouse might just be the sweetest earthen home we’ve ever seen. Somewhat reminiscent of a close relative to Hagrid’s home, this earthy Airbnb in St Maybn is everything you need to live out your real-life Harry Potter fantasy. From antique lamps to old books on the shelves, this unique space gives off a vibe that will make you never want to leave. Grab a beverage and put your feet up in front of the cast iron fireplace, before walking up the wooden ladder to your bed(room). Snug is an understatement indeed.

What’s the budget range? Pretty decent. The only catch is that there's two-night stay minimum.
Location perks? Nestled in the Cornish countryside, boasting scenic views aplenty. Lying between the picturesque North Cornwall beaches and harbours, and the untamed expanse of Bodmin Moor.
Rooms: 2 beds, 1 bath. Sleeps 6.

5. The sailor’s dream in Charlestown

Okay, we might be pushing the boat out here but this Airbnb in Charlestown is next level. A 1951 sailing yacht known as Sea Lion, this incredible boat provides a unique stay for those who dare. Kitted out in traditional boat interiors, you’ll enjoy meals in the galley and the kids will love the fitted bunk beds. This is the epitome of boat living and an experience in itself. Nearby, a walk from the harbour's cobblestone streets leads into the village where you’ll find pubs, restaurants and shops to satisfy your holiday palate.

What’s the budget range? Quite afffordable when you split the cost.
Location perks? The
beachfront location offers easy access to coastal footpaths, with Mevagissey, Fowey and the Eden Project close by.
Rooms: 4 beds, 1.5 baths, sleeps 8.

6. The underground shelter (and wagons) in Marhamchurch

Bored of modern homes and want something memorable? Check out this one-of-a-kind Airbnb in Marhamchurch. The 17th-century bothy is entirely underground, complete with a kitchen and living space filled with antique pieces, bespoke accessories and hand-painted murals. After dinner, follow the secret passageways to the bedroom and bathroom shepherd’s huts. Nope, you won’t need to go outside in the middle of the night as the wagons are built into the passageway. Genius to say the least. Needless to say, this is one of the most unique ways to experience the Cornish countryside and we’re here for it.

What’s the budget range? A moderately-priced (and incredibly cosy) getaway for two.
Location perks? A unique experience with space for an outdoor fire pit and a wildflower paddock to roam and live out your dream nomadic life.
Rooms: 1 bed, 1 bath, sleeps 2.

7. The luxe cabin in Millbrook

Fling your overnight bag in the boot and whisk yourself away to this dreamy beachfront cabin in Crow's Nest. Sunsets like these over the horizon are not to be missed. It's as if someone's ripped them off a postcard - unreal. The space is what you'd consider design-conscious with lots of stylish and thoughtful mod-cons for a relaxing stay. Among our favourite bits about this space is the wide sliding patio door and deck that practically give you a front-row seat to the bay. When you're not enjoying a swim or sticking your toes in that sand you can enjoy your very one at-home spa expereince, courtesy of the sauna.

What’s the budget range? Spenny, but not too shabby for a weekend.
Location perks? A secluded romantic getaway with views of Whitsand Bay that could never get old.
Rooms: 1 bed, 1 bath, sleeps 2.

8. The quaint home in Golant

Warming: this one will give you some serious FOMO. We guess the only real remedy is to book a stay here and see these tranquil views of the Fowey Estuary up close and personal. Set in a quiet waterside village, this home is nothing but pure vintage bliss. With bright interiors and charming antique furniture and decor that invites you to get cosy with a glass of vino. Enjoy the view from the balcony or out on the patio at breakfast.

What’s the budget range? Pretty affordable.
Location perks? Mesmerising views of the cornish coast.
Rooms: 1 bed, 1 bath, sleeps 2.
