Time Out says

In celebration of Black History Month, Time Out Market Chicago hosts a month long pop-up shop featuring titles curated by Semicolon Bookstore. Owner and operator Danielle Mullen first opened the shop in River West, before moving to a larger space in Wicker Park (which doubles as an art gallery) in 2021. The Black woman-owned bookstore highlights titles by Black, Latinx, Asian-American, indigenous and LGBTQ+ authors.

Semicolon Bookstore will sell books at Time Out Market throughout February, popping up Thursday through Sunday from 2–9pm. Each week, Moore curates a selection of book based around a theme:

Feb 3–6: Groundhogs Week (The Awakening, Afro futurism, Octavia Butler, anti-racism, fiction, etc.)

Feb 10–13: Building Blocks (Fiction and non-fiction written by African Americans, Latinx, indigenous, Asian-American and LGBTQ+ authors)

Feb 17–20: Radical Art (Coffee table books and poetry pertaining to artists and designers)

Feb 24–27: Liberation (Black, Latinx, indigenous and LGBTQ+ liberation titles)
