Virtual penguin encounter

The Shedd Aquarium has officially reopened its doors to the public, but if you're itching for something a little more intimate, try booking a virtual, up-close encounter with the aquarium's famous penguin friends. Through August 8, the Shedd is offering twice-daily sessions with its rockhopper and Magellanic where guests will get to learn a bit more about the birds' habitat and behavior, pose questions to the animal care specialist leading the call  and (perhaps best of all) get to see those lil' waddlers up close.
